La numerosa famiglia McCallister decide di passare le vacanze a Parigi. Il giorno della partenza si dimenticano a casa un piccolo dettaglio: Kevin.




RECENSIONE

Ho sempre trovato "Mamma, ho perso l'aereo" di Chris Columbus un film decisamente spassoso e gradevole, soprattutto nella seconda parte (per intendersi, quando i due ladri Marv e Harry si introducono nella casa del piccolo Kevin), in cui si assiste ad un continuo succedersi di riuscite gag. Inoltre la pellicola ha diverse trovate originali e assai simpatiche, come ad esempio lo sketch del film giallo utilizzato per spaventare i malcapitati ospiti.
Sorprende l'interpretazione dal giovanissimo protagonista Macaulay Culkin, che, come un attore consumato, riesce a reggere gran parte del film sulle proprie spalle. Ad aiutarlo comunque ci sono anche i suoi due antagonisti, Daniel Stern e Joe Pesci, che insieme formano una coppia di furfanti veramente ben assortita ed efficace. Ottimo poi l'accompagnamento musicale del mitico John Williams, che senza strafare dà grande sostanza allo sviluppo delle vicende narrate.
E' indubbio che la trama del film sia piuttosto inverosimile e artificiosa, come è vero che la comicità non sia delle più ricercate (a tratti molto cartoonesca), ma se il risultato è un'ora e mezzo di gran divertimento poco importa. "Mamma, ho perso l'aereo" è un sempreverde della commedia americana per famiglie, ideale soprattutto per passare una serata di svago, meglio ancora se sotto le feste di Natale.  (Manuel Celentano)
